Introduction

The Eco Clipper AM is a fully autonomous mowing platform designed for the maintenance of large grassy areas that require frequent, large-scale mowing. The machine is particularly well-suited for sod growers with separate fields or a total area of approximately 25 hectares or more, as well as for airport grounds managers who require reliable and consistent mowing quality.

Mower decks and capacity

Unlike the front-mounted mowers in the Eco Clipper lineup, the AM is not an attachment but a standalone platform that is fully electrically powered. Two mower decks are available, with working widths of 3.09 meters or 5.13 meters, allowing the capacity to be tailored to the size of the area to be mowed. With a working speed of up to 16 kilometers per hour and a productivity of approximately 3 to 7 hectares per hour, the Eco Clipper AM combines high daily output with a consistent cut.

Operating Modes and Transportation

The machine has four operating modes. In autonomous mode, the AM mows independently based on preset or learned contours, requiring minimal supervision during operation. In manual mode, the user controls the machine directly, for example, to follow field edges or define contours. To move between locations, the AM can be towed behind a tractor using a Category 3 three-point hitch, or it can drive autonomously between fields along predetermined routes, automatically deploying upon arrival and resuming mowing.

Nutrition

For power, you can choose between a diesel generator or a 65 kWh battery, which provides mowing capacity for approximately 20 hectares per charge, depending on grass conditions and terrain.

Safety

Given the operating speed of up to 16 kilometers per hour, a proven safety system is essential. This system was developed in collaboration with AgriRobot and with support from RISE, and combines sensor fusion for obstacle detection with geofencing. The system complies with ISO 18497 for highly automated agricultural machinery and with the functional safety standards ISO 13849 and ISO 25119.
