Description

The Brouwer Kesmac Fixed Head Reel Mower is a transportable reel mower with nine fixed cutting heads, designed for professional, large-scale turf maintenance on sports fields, golf courses, recreational areas, and other large grassy areas. With a working width of 625 cm (20.5 feet), the machine achieves a mowing capacity of up to 130 hectares per workday.

The machine uses a shear cut: each cylinder mower head cuts the grass through the interaction of the rotating cylinder and the fixed lower blade. This produces a clean and even result, even under more challenging conditions such as wet or rainy weather. The fixed heads follow the contours of the ground and ensure a consistent cutting height across the entire working width. The cutting height is adjustable from 13 mm to 83 mm and can be set for each head using a single control knob, without tools.

The robust tubular frame combines a low machine weight with sufficient strength for intensive daily use. Thanks to this lightweight design, only 45 pk of traction is required, which reduces fuel consumption and keeps the demands on the tractor low. The tires are wide to provide sufficient traction on soft or wet ground without causing unnecessary soil compaction.

The mower heads are available with 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9 blades per cage cylinder, depending on the desired cutting interval and the grass’s growth conditions. The open deck design ensures good clipping flow and prevents clogging. Using hydraulic fingertip controls, the machine folds down compactly for transport, with a transport width of 285 cm. The weight of the 9-speed model is 1,415 kg.
