Description

The Magnum is a towed wide-roll harvester with a cutting width of 122 cm (48 inches), designed for sod growers who want to harvest large rolls efficiently and reliably. Magnum BR series was introduced in 1991 and has since been regarded as one of the most proven platforms in professional sod production worldwide.

The machine is equipped with two anti-vibration cutting heads that always move in sync: as one moves forward, the other moves backward. This system reduces vibrations by up to 75 percent, which minimizes wear on the machine and improves operator comfort. The cutting heads are available as floating dual heads or as fixed heads with coulters, depending on the application and grass type.

A key feature of the Magnum is its patented netting application. The netting is applied directly during harvesting and reinforces the turf from below. This allows even less mature or looser turf to be harvested without damaging it during transport or installation. This shortens the growing cycle and increases the utilization of the plot.

The dual conveyor belt system gives the operator precise control over the roll tension. Rolls can be wound tighter or looser as needed, and starting or stopping a roll occurs without gaps or transitions. The cutting depth is continuously adjustable from 6 mm to 76 mm, making it possible to work sparingly with the soil or, conversely, to choose a thicker cut for heavier-duty applications.

The BR48 has a machine width of 235 cm and a length of 405 cm without the tractor. It weighs 1,656 kg. The electrical system operates on 12 volts. The machine is CE-certified for the European market.
