Description

The Progressive SDR-65 is a heavy-duty reel mower with a three-point hitch, designed for professional use on golf courses, sports fields, sod farms, and similar green spaces. With a cutting width of 165 cm (65 inches), the SDR-65 is ideal for situations that require a clean cut and a visually polished finish.

The SDR-65 uses the same cutting deck as the popular TDR-15 from Progressive’s tri-deck series, adapted for three-point hitch mounting. This results in a more robustly built machine than most other three-point mowers in this segment. Steel rollers with a diameter of 15 cm run across the full width of both the front and rear of the deck. These rollers smooth the grass while mowing and, at the same time, ensure even contact between the roots and the soil, which promotes divot recovery and improves overall turf quality.

The cutting height is continuously adjustable from 13 mm to approximately 10 cm, making the SDR-65 highly versatile for a wide range of mowing conditions. Adjusting the cutting height is done using the included tool and can be completed in a short amount of time. The high blade speed, with a tip speed of over 5,500 meters per minute, ensures a clean and even cut at travel speeds of up to 10 km/h. The clippings are evenly discharged backward over the rear roller, without clumping or streaking.

The blade pins are equipped with maintenance-free bearings, which reduces the need for servicing and lowers the total cost of ownership. The tine pins are also interchangeable, making replacement quick and easy. The SDR-65 is connected via a standard Category 1 three-point hitch, allowing it to be easily attached to most common tractors without any modifications to the drawbar.
