Description

The Progressive SDR-90 is a heavy-duty reel mower with a three-point hitch designed for professional use on sports fields, golf courses, sod farms, and other open areas where a clean and even cut is required. With a working width of 229 cm (90 inches), the SDR-90 covers wide swaths in a single pass, significantly increasing productivity compared to narrower three-point mowers.

The SDR-90 is based on the mower deck of the popular TDR-22 from Progressive’s tri-deck series, modified for three-point hitch mounting. Steel rollers with a diameter of 15 cm run across the full width of the deck at both the front and rear. These rollers create a striping effect while mowing and ensure good contact between the turf and the ground, which promotes the recovery of damaged areas and improves overall turf quality. Cable wipers on each roller prevent grass buildup during wet mowing conditions.

The cutting height is continuously adjustable from 13 mm to approximately 10 cm using the included tool. This makes the SDR-90 suitable for a wide range of mowing applications, from intensive maintenance on sports fields to precision mowing on golf courses. The high blade speed, with a tip speed of over 5,580 meters per minute, ensures a clean cut at travel speeds of up to 10 km/h. The clippings are evenly discharged backward over the rear roller, without leaving streaks or clumps.

The four tine pins are equipped with maintenance-free bearings and are interchangeable, which simplifies maintenance and replacement. The machine is attached using a standard Category 1 three-point hitch. The recommended pulling power is at least 35 pk. Weighing 626 kg, the SDR-90 is robustly built for intensive daily use.
